Hello, I'm Jose
Here's a little something about me:
I began my photography journey at a young age. I believe it was my grandpa's Polaroid camera that sparked my interest. I was fascinated by how something so small would eject a grayish piece of paper that magically turned into an image.
My family owned a Sony Handycam that recorded on tapes, and I loved using it . Unaware of the actual cost, I amassed a vast collection of tapes and undeveloped films from a film camera. As technology advanced, I acquired several point-and-shoot cameras, eventually replaced by my first smartphone during middle school.
The 1.3-megapixel camera on my Palm Centro allowed me to store my images on a 2 GB memory card. I felt on top of the world, or so I thought. Then came the more sophisticated phones with front-facing cameras, and I never stopped taking pictures. It became so easy to unlock the phone, snap a pic, and forget about it.
Life went on. I attended high school, earned a bachelor's degree in biology (not related to photography), and got married. Shortly after getting married, my father-in-law mentioned that he photographs local cricket tournaments and asked if I wanted to join him. Holding the camera felt strange yet familiar. When he asked if I had prior experience, I initially claimed to have none.
Interestingly, I had completely forgotten about my childhood experiences. It wasn't until I went through my old archives that I found the memories
